Tigers Set Some Program SSAC Season Highs at Mobile

Mobile,AL- The Stillman College women’s volleyball team showed improvements last week, even though they lost two matches on their road trip. They had their highest scoring game against the University of Mobile, with a total of 38 points. Khadeja Bryant, Aeraeonna Manuel, and Raine Patterson were the top performers in kills, while Katelynn Madison stood out with 13 set assists. Gracie Fjeldstad and Emily Powell also had impressive performances in digs. Although the team couldn’t secure the wins, their performance in digs and kills at Mobile was the best they’ve had in conference play so far. Keep pushing, Tigers!
In the match against Mobile, Khadeja Bryant and Aeraeonna Manuel led the team with four kills each. In the earlier match against Talladega College, Raine Patterson had the most kills with five. Overall, they had a total of six kills for the week. Katelynn Madison played a crucial role with 13 set assists, leading the team in both matches. Gracie Fjeldstad had nine digs against Talladega, while Emily Powell led the team with seven digs at Mobile and finished with a total of 12 for the week.
Although Stillman College was unable to secure a win, they showed great determination. In the match against Talladega, they led once in the first set, and in the match against Mobile, they took a 5-3 lead in the second set. They fought hard and were close at 13-12 in the third set, but Mobile rallied to pull away and win the match. Despite the losses, the team’s 36 total digs at Mobile were a season-high in conference play, as were their 13 kills, matching their performance in previous matches.
