Tigers Score Program’s SSAC-High Against WCU

TUSCALOOSA, Ala- Stillman College women’s volleyball showed improvement against a Southern States Athletic Conference opponent, scoring their most points (50) in a SSAC match in year two of its reinstatement process. Despite losing to William Carey University in three sets, the Tigers displayed progress.
In the first set, Stillman scored their most points (14) in a single set against William Carey, with notable contributions from Aeraeonna Manuel and Michelle Threatt. Although WCU closed out the set for the win, the Tigers showcased their potential.
The second set saw Stillman leading early and tying the score multiple times, thanks to Katelynn Madison and Raine Patterson. However, WCU used a 9-2 run to secure a 2-0 lead in the match.
In the third set, Stillman once again took an early lead and remained competitive. Patterson led the team in kills, aces, and blocks, showcasing her all-around skills.
Overall, Stillman’s performance demonstrated improvement and resilience, setting new records for points scored against William Carey. The team’s progress is promising for their future matches.
