Stillman Drops Four-Set Match at Oakwood

HUNTSVILLE -In a non-conference women’s volleyball match, Stillman College started strong with a win in the first set against Oakwood University. Despite the match being delayed for almost an hour, Stillman fought hard and pulled even with kills and aces from Aeraeonna Manuel. They built a 6-0 run to secure an eight-point victory in the first set.
However, Oakwood University rallied back, winning the third set convincingly and then taking sets three and four with scores of 25-21. Raine Patterson matched her career high with nine kills, while Manuel contributed eight kills. Patterson also had three aces, and both she and Khadeja Bryant had two blocks. Anniston Jones led the defense with 35 digs, followed by Emily Powell with 17 digs and Gracie Fjeldstad with 15 digs and 14 assists.
