Norfolk,VA-The Norfolk State University football team had a tough game against Temple. Temple scored 14 points in the first quarter and ended up winning 41-9. Norfolk State’s head coach, Dawson Odums, acknowledged that Temple was a strong opponent and mentioned how the team is improving week by week. Now, they’re focusing on their next game against Towson.
Temple started strong with an 80-yard drive in just 9 plays, taking an early 7-0 lead. They scored again before the end of the first quarter, extending their lead to 14-0. Norfolk State fought back with a solid ground game, with Xzavion Evans making some impressive rushes. They managed to score a touchdown with a 2-yard pass from Otto Kuhns to Aaron Moore, bringing the score to 14-7.
Temple quickly responded with a 51-yard touchdown run by Joquez Smith. The game didn’t go in Norfolk State’s favor, but they are looking forward to their next game against Towson.
